Time required for completion of procedure
Required time is 30 to 60 minutes per tooth and can be finished in one sitting if number of teeth which require bonding is not too many.
Procedure
Step one: First resin material which matches rest of teeth is selected
Step two: Tooth surface is abrade little to make surface uneven and rough
Step three: liquid conditioner is used on tooth
Step four: Resin bonding material is applied and ultraviolet light or laser is used to harden it.
Step five: Further trimming and polishing is done so that it matches rest of the teeth
Precaution to be taken after procedure
Till 48 hours after the procedure a patient need to avoid Tea, coffee, smoke and chewing hard things to avoid staining or break in applied layer. Beyond that no precaution other than regular hygiene is required.
